Fees
I agree that fees must be paid in advance for the month or per lesson. (UPFRONT)
I understand that fees are calculated on a monthly basis, and should I join in the middle of the month I will be billed pro-rata until the new month, where I will automatically be moved over to our monthly or per lesson rate as per my chosen option
I understand that a once of is non-refundable registration fee of R200 per person or R450 (3 or more immediate family members)per family is charged when I join.
I hereby agree to pay all fees due to National Aquatic and Physical Institute on time on or before the 1st of every month.
I understand that fees are loaded on my account every month on the 25TH, for the new month – and I have until the 1st of the following month to pay.
Late or non-payments:
I understand that non- Payment by the 3rd of the month with no communication will result in account suspension until accounts are settled or the 7th of the month
I understand that, should payment not be received by the 1st without communication, the swimmer/s will not be allowed to enter the pool until their account has been settled and a fees have been received
I understand that late payment can result in me losing my booked slot, and are not guaranteed to be available even after areas have been settled, resulting in me having to book new available slots
I understand that lessons missed due to nonpayment cannot be made up
I understand that lessons will be terminated with immediate effect if fees are not paid on or by the 7th of the month without communication and I will still be held accountable for that month fees.
I understand that Non-payment is not a form of notice, and that a one calendar months’ notice is required in writing via email for my account to be cancelled
I understand that Non-payment will result in my account being handed over for collection and that I will be listed as a default payer on the National Defaulter Database of the Credit Bureaus.
I understand and agree to pay all charges, including legal fees on the attorney-and-client scale, which may arise in the event that legal or other action is taken by NAPI to recover any fees due, including but not restricted to collection commission whether action is commenced or not.
Refunds
I understand that NAPI does not give any refunds for lessons missed or cancellation of membership as once calendar month notice must be given
Increases:
I understand that National Aquatic and Physical Institute reserve the right to increase fees annually by 1St August OR when deemed necessary .
I understand and accept that contract will continue with increased fees if official email was not sent via email or in writing giving a one calendar month notice in advance .
Payment methods:
I understand that payments can be made via EFTs, card payments or debit orders – NO Cash is accepted
Stock, grading and competition fees
I understand that stock purchased needs to be paid immediately
I understand that grading and/ or competition and /or gala fees are charged and paid separately and does not form part of the monthly fee
I understand that grading and/ or competition and / or gala fees may be charged by a third party and must then be paid directly to the third party
I hereby agree to all the above fees terms and conditions and understand that it is my responsibility to check my account via the Parent Portal and to make sure that fees are up to date.
Cancellation of membership
I understand and agree to give a one calendar month notice in writing through NAPI cancelation form and/ or system if I wish to cancel my membership.
I understand that this form can be acquired via reception, or on the website, or I can request a from via email at accounts@napi.co.za
I understand and accept that cancellations must be given on or before the 3rd of the month for the cancellation to take effect by the end of that month
I understand and accept that notice given after the 3rd will only take effect at the end of the following month
I understand that notice can not be given for December or January after October and that fees are still due
I understand that if I cancel my membership, to request a debit order cancellation from in the event of me having a debit order.
Missed lessons
I understand that if my child has missed their lesson due to any reason it can not be made up
POPI ACT POLICY
I understand that the Protection of Personal Information Act, (Act 4 of 2013) (POPIA) gives effect to the constitutional right to privacy, regulates the manner in which personal information may be processed, and provides rights and remedies to protect personal information.
I understand that NAPI is fully complies with this act.
Lost Property
I understand that it is my responsibility to take care of my things and cannot hold NAPI or Graceland’s responsible for lost or stolen property.
I understand that lost property that is found will be kept for 3 months, goods not claimed during this period will be donated.
Sick policy
I understand that if I or my child have a contagious disease e.g. Flu, covid, conjunctivitis (pink eye), tonsilitis, bronchitis, gastro / tummy bug, ringworm or any other disease listed on NATIONAL HEALTH ACT, 2003 (ACT NO. 61 OF 2003)REGULATIONS REGARDING COMMUNICABLE DISEASES are not allowed to participate.
I understand that hay-fever, postnasal drip or allergies etc. are not contagious, and lessons will continue as per normal
Water temperature
I understand that water is heated and kept between 28C’ – 32C’ depending on the season, weather and electricity supply.
I understand that if water temperature drops below 26C’ for whatever reason, I will be informed and may choose to do a makeup class or continue my lesson as scheduled.
Lightening Policy
I understand that it is not safe to be in the water if lightning in is less then 10km from the pool.
I understand that NAPI uses a LIGHTNING ALARM APP and when lightning strikes within 5km away we must evacuate the water until such time as the storm has safely passed.
I understand that I get 1 make up lesson in the event of a missed lesson for lightning provided that I was present at facility for the lesson but could not climb in or had to evacuate the pool for more than 15min of the lesson.
I understand that if less than 15min of the lessons is missed the lesson will run over, and no makeup lessons will be given.
Dress code
Full swimming costumes no bikini
I understand that swimming caps are compulsory during the lesson for hygiene purposes and to stop hair from obstructing my vision and breathing during a lesson (not necessary for shaved hair)
I understand that swimming goggles are preferred to protect eyes from long water exposure and have clearer vision under the water.
I understand that my child can use earplugs or other means if myself or my child has gromets or other medical conditions to keep water out of their ears.
I understand that my child cannot swim with a hearing aid unless the manufacturer states that the device is safe for swimming, or IPX certified for swimming.
I understand that no sharing of swimming towels or costumes are allowed
