MMA or mixed martial arts incorporate forms of Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Kick Boxing etc. It is used to  improve and create self -discipline through mentally and physically strengthening body and mind, help with focus, self -empowerment through improved confidence, the ability to handling social pressure better through improved self- awareness.

Classes are practical and focusses on two areas with 60%  on exercise and 40%  on technical.  This allows students to develop:

Physical skills such as; strength, flexibility, balance and fitness

Technical skills such as; coordination, reflexes, blocking and punching

Mental skill such as; focus, self-awareness, metal strength, perseverance, self-discipline, confidence

Lessons are 60min long with the option to do once or twice a week. There are 10 students per class in. Lessons are by appointment and run on a set schedule.

During a lesson specific skills are focused on depending on the level and the lesson: 

  • Safety –  discipline for self and students
  • Fitness and strength
  • Posture and control
  • Legs / Kicking / Blocking
  • Arms / Punching / Blocking
  • Breathing
  • Technique
  • Pad work
  • Weapons
  • Self defence
